Sustainable Buildings: Decarbonizing the Built Environment
The construction sector is still one of the largest CO2 emitters in cities. However, large CO2 savings have already been achieved in this area through regulations and technological innovations, especially new buildings. Different technological approaches are currently being pursued in parallel - what all approaches have in common is the combination of high energy standards with high quality of living and use. Digitisation and prefabrication allow a scaling of these approaches. In this session, selected construction projects will be presented that combine ecological building, digitization and prefabrication in an innovative way.
